JRS FARM PARTS

Eastman’s venture into Farm Parts happened in 2007, with the company starting with developing Tractor Linkage Parts. However, it soon moved on to diversify the products, bringing in Combine & Harvester Parts, Truck & Trailer Parts, Digging & Forestry Parts, Forging & Machining Parts, and Casting Parts. Eastman has entered the customized products business, tending to the demands of its customers, and making their aspirations a reality.
Eastman already has the infrastructure in place to scale up fast, and therefore, it has managed to develop and bring forth 7,000 products so far. With multiple projects in the pipeline, this number will only increase as the time goes by.The plant is capable of producing more than 200 tons of parts in a day, working two shifts per day. While our manufacturing remains world-class, we also have state-of-the-art Testing Facilities at our Quality Control Lab. We also partner with third-party agencies such as COSMOS, Auto Parts & Research Institute, CTR, NITTER to assist us with bringing our vision to life.

Manufacturing Flow

Eastman’s manufacturing follows a flow manufacturing system for its Tractor Linkage Parts machining unit. The flow diagram is shown below:

The plant is capable of producing more than 200 tons of parts per day, working two shifts per day. While our manufacturing remains world-class, we also have state-of-the-art Testing Facilities at our Quality Control Lab. The testing facility includes equipment such as Digital Microscope, Spectrometer, and facilities such as chemical test laboratory, salt spray test, UTM load testing machines, Crack Detector Magnaflux, Hardness & Chirpy testing, and so on.
We also partner with third-party agencies such as COSMOS, Auto Parts & Research Institute, CTR, NITTER to assist us with bringing our vision to life. We have systems at place such as Drawing Management Systems, Sample Management System, Gauge Control Systems. These are explained as follows:
Drawing Management System: All the drawings at Eastman adhere to the ISO:9001 systems, which adheres to the ISO:2768 tolerance charts (unless stated otherwise by the customers). We use 3D SolidWorks and AutoCAD-CAM, with VMC access, to bring efficiency to the product development process.

Sample Management System: Our Sample Management System stores samples of more than 400 customers at a time, storing our counter samples along with the master pieces, along with pilot lot NPD samples. The system stores the complete history of a customer’s journey in a confidential sample box. We photograph all samples, and provide them online to avoid any duplicity.

Gauge Control System: We preserve gauges and plug gauges in this system, in order to avoid deviations of product parameters. It helps avoid major complaints and preserve the consistency of quality across multiple production lots.

ERP-Linked SCM System: We test all raw materials via a spectrometer, and it should be available within 25 days of placing the order. In order to keep track of the material flow, we use our ERP system to manage our supply chain. This resource planning helps us to preserve key stock items.
